We've been growing in Devon since 1411!

The Tucker family started farming in Devon back in the 1400s. The latest generation’s roots are still firmly in gardening, as well as fish-keeping, with a huge passion for both.

The Tucker family's connection to Devon stretches back more than six centuries. Since the early 1400s, this family has farmed and cared for land in the Devon countryside — long before the term 'garden centre' existed.

That unbroken relationship with Devon countryside is what makes Bow Garden Centre different. It's not just a story we tell — it's in the soil, in the plants we choose, in the way we talk to customers, and in the pride we take in every visit you make.

The modern-day garden centre opened in 1984, and the latest generation of Tuckers took over in 2013, bringing their love of plants and fishkeeping together in one place. What started as a modest local aquatics and garden centre has grown, year by year, into one of Devon's most distinctive destinations — adding the Waterside Café, a Post Office, a farm shop, all whilst growing our range of locally sourced produce along the way.

We're still the same Devon family. We still go the extra mile. And we still believe that caring for plants, wildlife, and people is one of the most worthwhile things you can do.

We offer everything you need for plants, gardening & aquatics.

As a family business we pride ourselves on offering you excellent customer service with friendly, expert advice and great prices too.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bow soon!
